NEW STARTERS

We use the half-term before the summer holiday to ensure that all our new reception children are familiar with their new surroundings, so that in September they can start on a full-time basis straight away. At the first induction session parents are invited to stay.

NEW STARTER INDUCTION

Your child will received a phased introduction into our school family over a period of several weeks.  This will include attending an afternoon session, a morning session and a full day where they will be able to join us for a school dinner.  The dates and times will be confirmed by the school once a place has been allocated to your child.

SCHOOL MEALS

Our meals are prepared on-site by Mrs Lamb, cooked fresh daily from locally sourced ingredients in line with Government strategies for healthy eating. Our kitchen has a 5-star hygiene rating. Currently, the price of a school meal is £2.50.

Alternatively, you can send your child with a packed lunch.

UNIFORM

Full & correct school uniform with the school logo is compulsory for all children in Reception through to Year 6.

Available with logo: Sweatshirt, cardigan, PE T-shirt, PE bag, rucksack, book bag and water bottle.

Without logo: Trousers, skirts, summer dresses, coats, footwear, KS1 elasticated tie, KS2 traditional tie and all sports kit (apart from T-shirt).

MORECAMBE FOOTBALL CLUB

We have coaches from MFC in at lunchtimes. The children get the chance to play different games and sports.

SWIMMING

All children go to Lancaster University every Thursday morning during the Autumn and Summer terms.  They are transported in staff cars at 8.45am and return to school mid-morning.

School session times are from 8.45am to 3.30pm.

BEFORE AND AFTER-SCHOOL CARE

We offer a Breakfast Club from 7.45am and an After School Club from 3.30pm to 5.30pm (Monday to Thursday). Clubs should be booked in advance.
