Welcome from the Headteacher
Welcome to Thurnham Glasson C of E Primary School.
We are a small school. That is what is so special about us. We have a magical, happy and inclusive atmosphere offering a welcoming environment where the uniqueness of each child is valued and celebrated.
Christ is at the centre of our school where our school motto, 'Let Your Light Shine' celebrates our Christian ethos to respect and love one another and form positive relationships in order to become confident, independent learners who have a desire to achieve well and to want to make a difference within the local community and in the world beyond. Please refer to our Vision and Mission statement to share more about our ethos.
We are proud of our school values, they are woven throughout all aspects of school life and guide us to become the very best that we can be. This can be seen through our caring, respectful relationships for everyone in our school family.
Our experienced and dedicated staff team ensure that all our children benefit from a curriculum that is adapted to suit their individual needs where happy children grow in confidence. From competing in sports teams to starring in school productions; from reading in church to speaking at conferences, opportunities are plentiful at Thurnham Glasson C of E Primary School.
We shape our children to have a passion for learning and to make a difference in the world. We inspire every child to open doors to ambition and possibilities where each and every one of them has a clear voice to make good life choices and to stand up for what they believe is right.
We expect our children to work hard, make good educational progress and be proud of their achievements. We believe that the focus of good quality education is to support children in becoming lifelong, motivated learners and independent thinkers. We put our children at the centre of everything we do, and we believe that each child is special and unique as they are in the eyes of God.
We pride ourselves in having a loyal and committed staff team who work extremely hard to equip children with the enthusiasm, confidence, self-belief and skills to become all they can be. We work hard to give all our pupils the head start he or she deserves and provide the best opportunities to motivate, challenge and support each other within a structure that embeds itself as part of a nurturing school family. Children leave our school with special, happy, lifelong memories.
Alongside the children, staff, governors, parents and carers, I would like to offer you a warm welcome to our school family. To find out more, please arrange a visit and we'll be delighted to show you around.
