'Let your light shine' (Matthew 5:16)

Friendship (half-term 1)

Friendship

This half term we are focusing on understanding the importance of friendship.  Friendship involves:

· caring for each other,

· sharing ideas,

· respecting each other,

· having fun.

Values underpin our ethos.  We teach children about values through worship, lessons, by being active role models and recognising children who show the values.  Look out for our ‘V.I.P’ weekly awards.  Please talk to children about our values at home too.

Good friends are like stars – you don’t always see them but you know who they are.

'Friendship... is not something you learn in school. But if you haven't learned the meaning of friendship, you really haven't learned anything.'

Muhammed Ali

'My best friend is the one who brings out the best in me.'

Henry Ford
